In 2025, AIHUMS101 has the following events planned:
- 4 Online Meetings (January – June)
These virtual gatherings will convene the project’s 32 participating academics from seven universities and eight institutes to coordinate the development of the survey, model syllabus, and toolkit. During each session, attendees will refine research questions about current AI teaching in the humanities, share interim findings, and establish a timetable for drafting course materials. By the end of June, the group aims to have a clear framework for both the survey instrument and the syllabus outline, paving the way for in‐person collaboration in the autumn. - Survey Workshop: Bologna (October)
Hosted by Alma Mater Studiorum – Università di Bologna, this workshop will bring together all Una Europa partners to review our survey fundings on existing AI‐and‐Digital teaching practices at Una Europa Institutions. Participants will review preliminary results and use these as a basis to conceive of early drafts of the toolkit. This will also be an opportunity to share best practices on teaching of AI at third-level. - Toolkit Workshop: Krakow (December)
Led by Uniwersytet Jagielloński w Krakowie, this in‐person workshop will focus on transforming the syllabus’s theoretical components into a practical toolkit for instructors. Participants will draft sample lesson plans and and create guidelines for embedding AI modules into existing humanities courses. By the end of this workshop, a first complete version of the toolkit will be ready for piloting in the new academic year. - Report Launch: Online (December)
To close out the project, a final online event will present the completed survey results, the model syllabus for an introductory AI‐and‐Digital course, and the accompanying toolkit. All Una Europa stakeholders will be invited to join remotely; the launch will include presentations of key findings, demonstrations of toolkit components, and a discussion of next steps for integrating these materials across member institutions. This event will ensure broad dissemination of project outcomes and foster commitments to sustain AI‐and‐Digital teaching initiatives in the humanities.
